Whilst
most members now use 2.4GHz radio gear which does not interfere with
other members, there are still some club members who sail with 40MHz
and 27MHz radio equipment. If you do use 40MHz or 27MHz radio equipment then you need to check with your fellow members BEFORE switching on your radio equipment to ensure that your frequency does not clash with them.
At organised club events the club operates a peg
board system where each skipper using 40MHz or 27MHz frequencies must place
their peg on the frequency board to confirm that the frequency is clear BEFORE switching on their radio equipment.
